Requirements for Vanuatu citizenship by investment program

Vanuatu offers Citizenship with full Ni-Vanuatu rights (less voting rights and political involvement). There are no restrictions on dual citizenship and there is no requirement to visit or reside to retain a passport. Processing is fast with citizenship usually within 30-60 days. The investment requirement is $130,000 for a single applicant and $180,000 for a family of four plus fees. Citizenship is hereditary and an Oath Swearing Ceremony can be arranged in convenient locations around the world. There is no language requirement and due diligence is conducted on all applicants who must have a clear criminal record.

Requirements for Vanuatu passport applicants

The application can be lodge by whoever who wants to have possession to a Vanuatu passport or someone can lodge an application on behalf of an applicant who wants to have a Vanuatu passport. The applicant should lodge the application with the following:

  • 2 Identical Passport Photo (Photo must be less than 6 months old)
  • Original Vanuatu Birth Certificate

If you are living outside Vanuatu and applied for a Vanuatu passport the process will be the same for lodging the application, for receiving your passport it depends on the arrangement of whoever is applying on your behalf to deliver you your passport. Renewal Of Vanuatu Passport The Principle Passport Officer will not renew a Vanuatu passport if the Passport is expire. If a Vanuatu passport has reached its expiry date, the passport holder will apply for a new Vanuatu Passport as normal, the requirements are the same as applying for a new Vanuatu Passport. If you are a Vanuatu Citizen and you are working, studies or residing outside of Vanuatu and your Vanuatu Passport has expired, you must contact the Vanuatu Passport office for the date of expiry on your Passport.
